Manoj Punjabi Bawa Nuansa Baru: Film LA TAHZAN

– – MD Pictures is ready to release its latest film, LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA, which will grace the cinema screens starting August 14, 2025. Adapted from a true story by Elizasifaa, this film once again raises the theme of infidelity, but with a different approach and formula from the previous work, Ipar adalah Maut.

MD Entertainment CEO Manoj Punjabi revealed that as a producer, he does not want to continue repeating the formula used in previous box office films. Manoj is determined to always present a new package in every film he produces.

“We also don’t want to repeat the formula from previous films, but there is something different and new,” he said at the Gala Premiere press conference of LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… at Epicentrum XXI Jakarta, Thursday (7/8/2025).

“For me, this is a new formula, and this is something quite bold that we make on the big screen… If people watch this film, their hearts will be touched, have awareness between right and wrong. But, what I guarantee is, we will be entertained,” he continued.

The director, Hanung Bramantyo, also stated that the film LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… not only repeats the story of infidelity, but tries to take it to a higher level.

“We are indeed talking about infidelity. There are cracks in the household, there is disloyalty in being a husband. But, if in Ipar adalah Maut maybe it has happened, but to convey shame… Now in this film even more,” said Hanung.

At a previous gala premiere event, Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya watched the film directly with ministry staff. He expressed optimism that the film LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… could become a national box office hit, even reaching the international market.

The film LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… features top actors, from Marshanda, Deva Mahenra, Ariel Tatum, Asri Welas, Patricia Gouw, Elmandsipasi, Reza Nangin, to Benidictus Siregar.

In this film, Marshanda plays Alina, a religious wife and mother of two who succeeds in becoming a parcel service entrepreneur. She acts alongside Deva Mahenra who plays Reza (her husband in the film) and Ariel Tatum who plays Asih, the third person who brings a stain in their harmonious marriage.

Telling the story of a wife’s wound after her love is betrayed by her husband who chooses to sink into sin with their babysitter, LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… is adapted from a viral story by Elizasifaa. Previously, MD Pictures also successfully adapted her story titled Ipar adalah Maut, which was filmed in 2024 and attracted more than 4.7 million viewers.

LA TAHZAN: CINTA, DOSA, LUKA… can be watched in all cinemas in Indonesia starting August 14, 2025 with a sneak preview on August 10, 2025.
